Get Ready...Here Comes The New School Year

Ready...Or...Not...Here it comes! The new school year is fast approaching, and it's a roller-coaster of emotions for all stakeholders of any school. Teachers are quickly trying to get last minute things ready for their rooms. Administrators are rushing to get everything ready for in-service week. Parents are heading out to stores to get all the school supplies needed. Students are getting excited to see all of their friends again. School is what is bringing us all back together, and to me...that is a beautiful thing. School is something that I am vested in, and I take pride in knowing that all of us are working so hard to ensure that the year is set up the best that it can be. Educators have spent some time over the summer in professional development, in order to bring quality learning to their classrooms. Keep in mind that our emotions are just like a roller-coaster, and we will have our ups and downs with the year ahead. Just know that when you are in a low spot...that soon you will be back on top and excited again. I sometimes vent to close friends, but ultimately I want to try to keep looking a the positive side of any situation I am in. So to the faculty/staff at Lamar...and to the parents of Lamar...hopefully you only see me in the most positive of lights for the upcoming year. Get Ready folks..here it comes...or IT'S ALREADY HERE!!
